This high-quality standard lens was exclusively designed for compact system cameras and has an angle equal to that of a 60 mm lens (35 mm equivalent focal length) to the MFT mount systems. Two moulded aspheric lenses, including a double-sided aspherical lens provide excellent correction for all types of aberrations. The internal focusing system corrects the fluctuation of aberration to the image quality to be maintained, regardless of focal length.

Sigma's super multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting and provides high contrast even at maximum aperture. The superior telecentric optical design improves image quality in the entire frame. The optical design also ensures that the lens compact and light.

This lens is equipped with a newly developed linear AF (autofocus) engine, which moves the lens elements directly, without the need for gears or any other controlled mechanical needed. This system ensures accurate and silent auto-focus, which makes the lens suitable for both filming and photographing. The lens has a rounded 7-blade diaphragm which creates an attractive bokeh in the focus areas of the picture.
