Celestron Advanced VX 8 Newtonian Telescope

The Celestron Advanced VX 8-inch Newtonian Telescope offers excellent wide field views with its 8-inch (200mm) f/5 optical design. The parabolic primary mirror minimizes spherical aberration for a sharper image. This compact and portable German equatorial mount provides the same rigidity as larger models with minimal flexure and an improved design.

It holds a maximum instrument capacity of 30 lb and includes features desirable for astroimagers, such as PEC, an autoguider port, and the ability to image across the meridian. The dual saddle plate is compatible with narrow CG-5 and wider CGE dovetails, as well as Vixen format dovetails longer than 100mm. The mount's latitude range allows it to function between 7° and 77°.

Accessories include a 20mm eyepiece and 9x50 finderscope.
